Calgary Dental Office Reopens with New Safety Measures in Place
After months and weeks of waiting, we received some good news! As of May 14, 2020, The Alberta Dental Association and College announced that all “Alberta dentists are permitted to return to full provision of services.” Until recently, our team at The Dental Room was only permitted to treat patients with urgent/emergency needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re very happy to announce that we will be booking all patient appointments as of June 1, 2020!
Changes At The Dental Room
We understand that many things have changed since we were compelled to shut our doors in March. The truth is, COVID-19 may have changed the way we live our everyday lives, but the good health of our staff, patients and community continues to remain as our top priority. We’ve taken extra precautions to ensure your safety and comfort upon your next scheduled appointment at The Dental Room in Calgary. Please find a list of what to expect during your next visit below:
Covid-19 Screening
All patients will be required to undergo two COVID-19 screenings before their appointments. A pre-screening will be conducted before your appointment and a temperature check once you arrive at our office. The purpose of the pre-screening is to determine if you have any symptoms of COVID-19. The temperature check is to determine if your health is in good standing for the safety of our staff and patients. If you or someone around you has been sick in the last 14 days, we advise you to reschedule your appointment.
Hand Sanitizer
You’ll notice an increase in hand sanitizers at our office. Everyone who enters is encouraged to use it upon arrival and as much as you see fit during your appointment.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
We’re encouraging all patients and staff to make use of proper PPE. Patients are asked to wear a facemask to their appointment. If you don’t have one, we’ll provide you with one upon your arrival! All staff will be wearing PPE on top of their regular uniform and scrubs.
Physical Distancing
We ask that everyone follow social distancing practices with all staff and patients. Please stay 6 feet (2 metres) away from anyone you might encounter during your visit.
Payment
We’re currently asking for a contactless form of payment when possible. This can include a debit or credit card that features a “tap” option.
