way to alleviate tension in the temporomandibular joint, reducing jaw pain, headaches, and suffering.<\/p><p>Botox\u00ae is commonly associated with cosmetic practices, including eliminating glabellar lines and facial wrinkles.\u00a0 Recently however, Botox\u00ae has become an increasingly popular TMJ treatment.\u00a0 Although some TMJ symptoms may improve without any specific treatment, on both sides of the head where the skull adjoins the jawbone.\u00a0 This joint is constantly being used for a variety of daily activities, such as chewing, biting, speaking, and swallowing.\u00a0 The most prominent causes of TMJ are jaw displacement and stress-related involuntary jaw movements.\u00a0 Botox\u00ae expediently alleviates temporomandibular tension by relaxing the jaw muscles, thus preventing unconscious jaw movement and ending grinding-related headaches.<\/p><p>One of the major advantages of Botox\u00ae is that normal functions such as speaking, swallowing, and biting are left unaffected.\u00a0 The only major change is the reduction in pain and discomfort.\u00a0 In addition, controlling TMJ can also prevent serious dental problems from occurring later. will be performed at the dental office.\u00a0 Driving ability will not be impaired by the treatment, so there is no need for a designated driver.\u00a0 The injections are no more painful than a bug bite or pinprick, but nitrous oxide (laughing gas) can be used to reduce anxiety if necessary.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">Normal activity can be resumed immediately after the Botox\u00ae treatment, but strenuous activity should be avoided for 24 hours after treatment.\u00a0 It may take several days to feel the full benefits of the treatment, but Botox\u00ae will continue to work for up to 3
