A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) appliance that can be used to replace missing teeth.

Bridges can be classified into several types. During your consultation with your dentist, you will be able to discuss the best options for your particular situation. A traditional bridge is the most popular type of bridge, and it is usually made out of a mixture of porcelain and metal. It consists of two crowns that fit over two anchoring teeth (abutment teeth) and are attached to pontics (artificial teeth), filling the gap left by one or more missing teeth.

As dental bridges are highly durable, they will last many years; however, due to normal wear, they may need to be replaced or re-cemented.
